What are You Waiting For?

And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name. Acts 22:16

Our sweet  Honeybee was baptized last night!  I have tears in my eyes just typing those words.  She has been asking to be baptized for awhile and when a baptism was announced at church she pleaded to go.  I will sheepishly admit that I wanted her to wait – I wanted the entire family to be present, including Sweet Pea, I wanted to plan a party and gather our family and friends to celebrate, and besides, it was a Monday night – a school night.

In the end, I am happy to report that the Word of God, won out over my reservations.  I can’t recall a single incident in the Bible where a baptism was delayed in order to allow enough time to order a cake.  No, people believed, they sought forgiveness for their sins, and they were baptized.  It is so simple and profound.

In other family news, Ladybug and I had a great weekend together and enjoyed the company of the other women and girls we traveled with.  We arrived home just in time to unload the car, clean up the kitchen, and put Sweet Pea and Samuel’s birthday dinner on the table.  Friends celebrated with us, bringing laughter and food to make the evening even more joyful.  The next day Eby announced that he is going to invited Samuel’s college friends to his birthday party next month.

Don’t forget, today is the last day to enter the CSN $40 giveaway!  The winner will be announced tomorrow late in the day…after Rusty gets home from classes and figures out who the winner is.

Have a great Tuesday friends – hopefully next week I’ll put a Tuesday Topic up.  If you have a question you would like me to present as a Tuesday Topic, please email it to me at lisa@onethankfulmom.com

Isaiah 60:3 "Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn."

You transform the lives of people to whom you have never overtly ministered. I bless you with that wonderful, exquisite joy of seeing your values embraced even by people you did not directly touch. Your life is an example that people know just by observing you that you serve the One, True God. In the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, I bless you!

How wonderful you let Honeybee choose when it was right for her.
Happy Birthday Sweet Pea and Rusty.

I meant to write – after having been home for two and a half years we finalized the adoption of our sweet "baby" JC. Pictures follow.
