giving thanks #1381 – 1400

Noah and Katie Qualls

bridesmaids and sisters squeezed in a bedroom upstairs doing hair and make up

groomsmen up for an early breakfast

friends giving their day to help us prepare

Katie, absolutely stunning

bridesmaids, all beautiful

and the groomsmen in suits – amazing

morning rain stopping just in time for pictures

green wheat fields for a beautiful backdrop

the white, one-room church

with an outhouse – if you dare

Noah’s tears when he saw his bride come down the aisle

Katie’s tears through their vows

dancing in our yard

dance

friends who braved the cold wind – thank you so much

beautiful decorations and delicious food

meaningful toasts given by siblings

more tears for our tender-hearted family

Noah and Katie beginning their life together

God’s blessing felt so strongly

Thank you to all who prayed for God’s blessings on our family’s special day. We could not be happier.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

It was one of the sweetest and most intimate weddings I have ever attended. I am so happy for Noah! I wish my girls could have been there to experience it. May God continue to pour out his blessings on this sweet family. Thanks for letting us share in the day with you!

Signe, it meant so much to us that you and Rick were there. Thanks for wrapping up in coats and blankets and staying through all of the important events.

We're so glad too! Thank you for all of your help – I couldn't have pulled off the rehearsal dinner without you. Next fall it's your turn!

Aren't you glad Drew's will be catered and we can sit back and watch other people do all the work!?
