Sunday Visit: Sit a Spell

Sit a Spell is a blog I really enjoy, and I think you will like it, too. It is written by Heather, whose family is extra interesting because they serve as missionaries in Haiti.  She posts good stories, great photos, and her crafts (including Advent projects) put me to shame.

I hope you enjoy her blog as much as I do.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Lisa

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

Thank you for sending your friends our way. Your family is beautiful. One look at the photo of all of you and the tears came. Big families slay me every single time! Blessings to you and yours.

I'm laughing a little bit because you two ladies are two of my favorite bloggers, and now you're "talking" to each other in the comment section! So silly of me to be excited about that. I rarely comment on either blog, but I love both and admire the writers!

Thank you, Amy! I'm glad to hear you like Heather's blog, too. There are so many blogs, and the internet is so big, that sometimes I lose track of somebody I really like – which is what happened with Heather's blog. When I found it again, I was so pleased.
