Sunday Visit: Oceans will Part

My cousin, Annie, is a singer for Hillsong in Australia.  The girls love to watch her videos and sing with her, and Honeybee has a secret wish to go see her sing in Australia.  I thought you might enjoy seeing her sing, too.

Have a wonderful Sunday – the best day of the week!

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

My whole family was mesmerized, especially my 2 and 5 year olds. Beautiful voice! We loved seeing people so passionately worshiping. THank you for sharing your family talent!

I LOVE this song…It’s on one of my favorite cds, Mighty to Save! How cool to know that she’s your cousin….Explain the Australian link, though….Is she Australian or American singing with Hillsongs?

She is an American, but lives in Australia now. I really love the Hillsong chapel CD which features her a lot. The girls love to watch those videos, too.

We are part of Hillsong and I am really excited about what the Lord is stirring there in regards to adoption and foster care. Bobbie Houston is really bringing forth a vision about the church acting as a family that embraces those who are alone, and as a church we really carry a responsibility to reach out to people in need around the world. It is an awesome atmosphere and I love how much “walk” there is with the “talk”.
