Sunday Visit: Grief and The Divine Miss M

I love the blog, Ordinary Miracles & the Crazy 9, in part because Nancy is a gifted photographer, but more so because she is a mother with deep intuition.  This post was written during her time in China meeting their newest child.

Wednesday {grief}

Be sure to follow that post with this recent post, The Divine Miss M, to see how far they’ve come in three months.  Attachment is a process, both beautiful and painful.  I think you’ll enjoy reading about this sweet little girl and her mamma.

If you are interested in photography, Nancy also has tutorials on her blog.

Sunday – the very best day of the week.  I hope yours is lovely.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

    Lisa, I know some newly-home adoptive mamas who will be blessed by these links and will share them! Today was a lovely Sunday in part because I got to meet two of your lovely children at church. She couldn't be living on a better block than with Dorothy the neighborhood watch mom :).

      I'm so glad you got to meet them; they really enjoyed church. I am very, very thankful for Dorothy's friendship and the fellowship of the Body of Christ.
