Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

Thankful for our community who came out in great numbers yesterday to support area firefighters. Sending prayers to all those affected.

What a beautiful picture of your son.

I'm grateful for having had the last week with my husband and children (both 10). He always takes the week of our wedding anniversary (Aug 8, 1992) off so we can have time together as a family since he works nights and doesn't see us much during the week. From his taking care of some needed household chores to going to the pool, the planetarium, the beach, etc., it's been a much-needed reunion of sorts.

Fun day in the mountains with my big kids – little ones being cared for by a big cousin. So thankful for cousins!

I am thankful my parents are on a cruise in the Baltic celebrating 40 years of marriage!
I am thankful that today I am 26 weeks with a rainbow baby, and so humbled that he is healthy!
I am thankful that it is a day of rest, including hot coffee, afternoon naps, and communion at worship this morning!
