Sunday Gratitude 5.4.14

It’s hard to believe that it has been over a week since I’ve written. Although I am honestly working toward simplifying my life, this week was packed. Thankfully it was overflowing with good things, so I’m not complaining. That being said, I intend to rest a little today.

I am thankful for so many things today.

giving thanks #1300 – 1320

Dimples, Sunshine, and Happy, friends since they were tiny, sneaking in some fun while the adults visit

spending the day in Spokane with Katie

picking up her wedding gown(!!) and going to Katie’s dress fitting

Noah spending hours getting the yard ready for the reception

a good appointment with my doctor

being serious about getting healthy – day 7 of the Whole30

figuring out which medication was making me feel terrible – and taking a break from it

life – i’m just so thankful for my life

Is there something you are thankful for today? Take a moment to share it.

Have an amazing Sunday.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

What a beautiful grateful list. So happy that your doctor's visit went well, that your daughters (except Hannah) were home together, and that you are enjoying the preparations for the upcoming wedding. What joy! Praying that many good things happen this coming week as well. Blessings to you…

Yeah for all of your good news!

I am praising God for watching over my father-in-law. He had surgery due to a Subdural hematoma. He has been in the ICU since Friday. We saw him today and was groggy but talking. He has a bit of recovery time (a good 6-8 weeks) but we are so thankfu that God is blessing him so richly.

What a blessing that your father-in-law is recovering. That is definitely something to be thankful for.
