She is Nine!

I am finally getting back to A.’s birthday which was September 20th! She turned nine and we celebrated by letting her get her ears pierced. I had thought we would wait until she was older, but she is a super responsible child, and she was very eager to have them pierced. We decided to have it done as her most special gift. A. was very brave and now that it has been six weeks, she will soon get to try a new pair of earrings.

She also baked cupcakes for her friends in choir.

That evening, A. invited a couple of special friends to join us for dinner. The menu she chose was homemade egg rolls, mandarin salad, rice and vegetables, along with German Chocolate cake and ice cream. Everybody loved it and she had a great day.

It has been a very full week for us and I am ready for a restful Lord’s Day tomorrow. We’ll have dinner and a family meeting after church, to kick off the new month. Then we’ll rest.

Have a great Sunday.
