One Month Ago Today

Our lovely daughters will be even lovelier with one more sister in their midst.

One month ago today we committed our hearts and lives to adopting our daughter, B. We expect our referral documents to arrive tomorrow and then it will be official. It is still rather unbelievable to me…sometimes it hardly seems real.

We have been very blessed to receive news of her from recent volunteers at her orphanage and from friends. Everyone tells us that she is a wonderful and special child. Soon we’ll be putting together a small photo album for her with pictures of the family. She will definitely remember Dimples and I think she will remember us when she sees pictures from our visit last year.

Next year at this time there will be one more child at the table, and one more Easter basket to fill. God gives us so much more than we deserve.

Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Hi Lisa and congratulations on little B becoming your daughter! What a blessing it is when God places children in our families. We came home from Ethiopia with our 6th child last week and while we were at the orphanage we fell in love with a 6 – 8 yr old girl. We are prayerfully decided now if the Lord is asking us to bring her home. I pray He is because I cannot stop thinking of her and I literally feel as if I left a piece of myself there with her… Anyhow, thanks for the inspriation and God bless you and your family!
