On the Road

Hi friends.

Just a quick note from the road to say hello.

We made it to Billings last night and thought we would hit the road nice and early this morning, but Russ began getting sick last night. We think he may have brought a parasite home from Kenya. Hopefully he didn’t get malaria.

We’re going to find a doctor this morning.

I’m posting on Instagram and especially on “My Story,” which is fun for a trip like this. Follow me on Instagram to keep track of our adventures.

My regular Instagram posts will also post on my One Thankful Mom Facebook page.

While I won’t be here much over the next few days, I hope to see you on Instagram and Facebook!

Thank you for being part of my life – I appreciate you!

Lisa

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

    Hello Lisa,
I hope nothing would be serious in Russ’s sickness. And I wish him to get well soon. 🙂

I live in Billings and work in health care so hope you received excellent care in our community. Nice to hear antibiotcs were helpful. Hope you did not need them long.

We did, thank you! I’m glad we were in such a nice place when we realized he needed medical help.
