Last week we celebrated our 30th anniversary on Monday, Russ’ birthday on Friday, Noah and Katie’s wedding on Saturday, and Father’s Day on Sunday. Whew! It was a big week. Yesterday was so full with family and friends coming and going from our house, washing mountains of dishes, returning rentals, and general clean up, that the kids didn’t even give Russ his gifts. We’ll do that tonight.

This man is amazing in so many ways. He introduced me to countless good books under the evening lamplight and then sang me to sleep, he knew just when to let me face things myself, and he takes such good care of our overflowing family. I love you, Daddy!

Fathers Day, seventeen years ago. I love you, Dad.
Russ works incredibly hard to take care of all of us – he is completely amazing. For a man who doesn’t like to multitask, he juggles dozens of balls in the air. I adore him and I’m so thankful that he made me the mother of my beautiful children.
