“I Only Have Good News!”

Eby just came in the door calling, “Mom! Mom! I only have good news!”  He ran in the family room holding something out to me.  “Look! The first dandelion this year!”

I had to laugh – he is such a sweet boy.  When I took the photo he said, “Even the dandelion is smiling.”

Maybe spring really will show up here soon. We are ready to welcome it with big smiles.

Isaiah’s World Water Day video has done well; thank  you to everyone who shared it.  The Water Fight has raised over $1800 toward two wells that will be dug in Kenya.  Only $800 more to go!  We’ve spent the morning talking about water projects, looking at airfare for Russ and Isaiah, checking the calendar, and figuring out how the kids and I will make it with them  gone.

Have a great weekend, friends.  I have a great Sunday Visit coming up tomorrow; be sure to stop by.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

My daughter came running in the house this afternoon calling "Look Mom, it's a blower!". Found our first of the season here in Texas too! Blessings!

    Cute!

We've had sunshine for 5 days straight. Spring might actually come to the cold and rainy NW this year.

Taking a little Road Trip today to see my new grandson. Hope your day is BLESSED!
