Giveaway Winners!

I’m back from Seattle and have had a lovely Sunday with  my family.  We enjoyed church, had a simple dinner, carved pumpkins, and took the kids for a walk out of town, including hiking up the combine tracks in some hilly, harvested fields.  Honeybee and Sunshine gathered grasses and made a fantastic centerpiece for our dining room table.  I’ll share a picture later.

I am finally ready to announce the winners of The Connected Child and the companion guide, Created to Connect.  Thank you so much for your patience.

Rusty tallied up all of your entries and then used a random number generator to determine the following winners:

Sara at Living Deeply

Gwen at the Blethering Spot

Laurel at Our Journey of Faith

Ladies, please email me with your mailing address and I will do my best to get these in the mail by the end of the week.

Thank you to everyone who participated.  There will be more great giveaways courtesy of Empowered to Connect in the future.  Also, you can download a free copy of Created to Connect on the Empowered to Connect site, or purchase it already printed and bound for only $5.00 (shipping included).

I look forward to a good week of family, schooling, friends, and blogging!

One more quick pic of the pumpkin carving fun.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

Ooh! I have literally just performed a happy dance and song for my children (lyrics: "I won something! I won something! I'm so happy happy happy!"). I haven't won anything, not a thing, since the spectacular feat of correctly guessing the jellybeans at the year-end school fair in grade 2. I'll send you my address; thank you so, so much! Can't wait to read the book. Thanks!

Yea! I'm so excited! I actually went onto Amazon on Friday and put those in my shopping cart … got distracted and DIDN"T make the purchase. Yippee!

I'll email my address to you.
