Dr.Karyn Purvis' New Sensory Resource!

If you have kids with Sensory Processing issues, or suspect that you might, take a moment to watch the trailer for a new instructional DVD by Dr. Karyn Purvis:

A Sensory World: Making Sense of Sensory Disorders

You can also read more about it on the Empowered to Connect website.

I was so impressed that I ordered a copy today. At $30 for over 90 minutes of instruction, I am confident that it is a worthwhile purchase.  I can’t read the stack of books by my bed in 90 minutes and I am guessing I’ll quickly learn lots of good information and new techniques by watching this DVD.

I’m excited to tell you all about it.  Maybe we’ll have to mail it around the country to each other.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

Pull me off the list – I previewed it and ordered a copy to be sent to my mom's house (retired OT) in Seattle so we can watch it together over our holiday next week. I can loan my copy out also.

Let's talk about it after we've both watched it. I hope your time in Seattle is great.

Hi we are in the middle of adopting four kids. That we hope to have home the first of next year. it looks like a great set to watch. We know that we have a lot of work ahead of us, so if you could let us watch them that would be great. We are in Boise so not to far I think.
    thanks, Michele

Michele, you aren't far at all. I would be happy to loan the DVD to you after I'm done with it.
