Disappointed but Trusting the Lord

Thank you to everyone who has asked about K’s court date. We received the very disappointing news that her court date was not successful due to an administrative error. This was quite a blow to us since we were so thrilled to have her legally adopted in 2006. I have contemplated this since we got the word last night and the Lord brought to my mind Psalm 121.

“He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
Ps. 121: 3-4

Nothing is outside of our Lord’s control, not even an error made by a person in Ethiopia. He loves K. far more than we do and is watching over her even as I type these words.

We hope to hear of a successful court date in a couple of weeks. I’ll keep you all posted.

    I am soooo sorry! The only thing I can think of to help you is to know that God hears your cries. We, too had a minor delay with Sophia’s court date because of paperwork. Thankfully, it was only admin error, just like yours. I can’t wait to hear of a successful court date!
