Amazing Friends

I have truly amazing friends. Some of them actually read my blog – even one of my sisters reads my blog…the other…well, I suspect she doesn’t. That’s okay, I love her anyway.

I was honored to meet my friend, Jennifer, at camp last Labor Day weekend. Prior to camp, I knew her through her blog, an email group, and her organization, From HIV to Home, but meeting her in person was great.

Check out this article about her and the important work she is doing.

Let me introduce myself. Russ and I are the parents of twelve children by birth and adoption, and sometimes more through foster care. I'm the creator of One Thankful Mom which has been as much of a gift to me as to my readers. In 2011 I became a TBRI® Pracitioner* and have lived and breathed connected parenting ever since. I'm deeply honored to be the co-author, together with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis, of The Connected Parent; it is her final written work. I love speaking at events for adoptive and foster parents. I'm also the co-founder of The Adoption Connection, a podcast and resource site for adoptive moms. I mentor and encourage adoptive moms so you can find courage and hope in your journeys of loving your children well.

I’m pretty sure that one of my sisters never reads my blog either. 🙂

Well, not only do I read your blog, my dear sister, but so does my daughter. Guess we are the good relatives! Just Kidding!

That was such a great article. And Jennifer really is great.

Maybe you would consider moving to Denver to live near Jennifer and I??? 🙂
