Rusty last week on his first day of school.
Me: “I make a terrible blogger. I just can’t seem to find time to be on the computer.”
Rusty: “But you make a terrific mother.”
I guess that sums up my week!
Today was Honeybee’s birthday — her second time turning eleven — and tomorrow she’ll have her first ever birthday party. I have a post in the works and photos to share.
Lots of posts are swirling through my head — maybe I’ll have a quiet moment soon! Don’t forget to add your thoughts to this week’s Tuesday Topic: Changing Birth Order
Happy almost Friday.

Well, I think you are a pretty fantastic blogger too. You are one of the few bloggers in my dashboard whose posts I *always* open, regardless of what the title is.
Have a wonderful weekend!
I don't really know y'all or her but I am going to say it anyway; Happy Birthday Honeybee!!
Love that quote too even though I'm not a mom. ;)
Wait why is it her 2nd time turning 11? Or do you mean b/c she's had 2 parties? (Sorry if I'm just missing something, I haven't had my coffee yet, ha).
I have said it before, beautiful inside and out, your son and I am sure he is right. How lovely to hear especially from a teenager.
What a good-lookin' guy :)
Mimi
I think so too!
You are certainly MY favorite blogger. Even short posts encourage and inform me. And one of the frequent ones I send on to other friends.
Your son also had it absolutely right!!!
Wow! If I hear that from my daughter at 15, I will consider my life to have been a success. What a great kid to say so, and to be one he must be right about the terrific mom. So a double congrats to you I think! :)
Now that is the best compliment EVER! :)
You are an awesome blogger! I recommended you to another friend today. :-) And if Rusty says you're a terrific mother, then I believe it.
Love you,
Julie
Looks like your priorities are in order to me! Happy Birthday Honeybee!!!
Lisa,
I LOVE your blog. It is one of two that I read faithfully. And like others have mentioned, I frequently direct other adoptive families to read your insightful posts! i have often wondered how you do it–with so many children at so many stages of life. You are a blessing to so many out here in cyberland and, obviously, to those closest and most important to you! Bless you! feel better soon!
