You know the quote that goes, “Children respect the things we inspect,” or something like that?  Chore time this morning seems to be characterized by that.  Fun times at the Qualls house.

I look forward to the day when some of my children will be motivated to do a good job simply because the task is important to the family.  Ambivalence about wanting to be a member of the family compounds this.  Will it ever be simple?  Don’t answer that.

We have a full day of normal life – it feels odd to have productive and relatively calm weekends.

    hahahaha we battle that ground daily as well, only our battle is with the one born into the family!! Ah well, it will work out eventually, my mom says it does:-)

    I'm pretty sure they'll "clean up" their acts when they have kids of their own. There is something powerful about wanting to be a good parent that translates into a clean house! Until then, c'est la vie!
