My friend, Jennifer, has been writing a great series of post on school, and in particular, school and her adopted children.  Stop by and spend a few moments, it will be well worth your time.

I also happen to know that she has a great post set to go for Monday.

Thanks for the site link. It always encourages me to read about your family and others who have chosen traditional school for their adoptive children even if their hearts have always been set on homeschooling their children. We have 5 children still at home – 2 bio which are home-schooled, 1 adoptive in public school and 2 adopted who are too young for school. I have prayed/agonized/worried/re-evaluated this school decision for our adoptive daughter.. She came home at 9 – we homeschooled for 2 years and then last year sent her to public school which we will do again this year. It is respite for the rest of us at home/the school provides all sorts of resources I could never keep up with and it really helps keep our relationship working on attachment instead of the learning struggles. But my heart still aches that this is the only option that works for us right now.
