Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I asked each member of our family to share a few things they are thankful for, and this is what they said.

Russ: snow plows that clear the highway and a tractor for plowing our driveway, peaceful mornings, coffee with cream

Lisa:  coffee and conversation with friends, Russ, the view from my kitchen, Jesus, flannel sheets

Hannah:  new friends and old friends, a church that preaches the gospel to me every week, the occasional chance to run bridges over the Mississippi River, the incredible experience of learning to be a surgeon

Mimi: unseasonably mild weather, coworkers who make Monday mornings great, and a husband who makes me laugh every day

Andrew: hot apple cider mixed with caramel, my awesome and humongous family, fuzzy kittens, my wife’s cooking

Noah: open doors, opportunities

Samuel: alarm clocks, study groups, warm blankets

Isaiah: fresh mop heads at work, sweet Seattle rain, public transportation, the guitar Noah loaned me

Ladybug: knitting projects, good books, the opportunity to meet new friends at school

Bee: music, family, friends

Dimples: school, spicy food, sports

Sunshine: amazing friends, our house, food to eat, celebrating Thanksgiving, and for God – I could go on a long time.

Eby: God, Thanksgiving and yummy food, Jesus for dying on the cross and forgiving our sins

Little Man: spaghetti and meatballs, our house, my life

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.

Love the progression of what each one is thankful for as you get to Little Man and "spaghetti and meatballs"! So adorable!

Thankful for a merciful, loving, forgiving God and the grace He provides in abundance each day.
My wonderfully crazy, challenging, amazing, unique, family.
The ability to connect with other adoptive families like yours Lisa and the internet's provision of that community across the miles.

    Have a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Little Man's got me right where it counts… "MY LIFE." So precious. So wise.
