It’s been quite an experience living without a computer for the past week. I’ve missed blogging, emailing, and working on projects. On the other hand, I’ve done a lot more reading and I think I’ve been less distracted.
Initially I thought I was completely cut off until I woke up one morning remembering that the Google Nexus I own can be used as more than an electronic planner/calendar. I bought it because I don’t have a smart phone and I needed a better means of keeping track of our crazy lives. I also needed something to chime at me and remind me of events; it seemed I was constantly in a state of panic remembering the next commitment with only minutes to spare. I just couldn’t hold it all in my head.
I’ve been forced to learn how to use this thing, although I still can’t copy and paste the BlogHer review I was supposed to post yesterday. It’s even got a good give away. Hopefully I can put it up tomorrow.
The kids and I have done well on our own, but we sure miss Russ and the big kids. Russ will arrive today and a car full of big kids will arrive late tonight. We’re ready for the energy they’ll bring.
The kids cheered when I told them their daddy is arriving tonight. He is definitely the fun and adventuresome parent; he’ll have the Hobie Cat set up and in the water tomorrow.
There is lots going on that is just too hard to blog about right now. I’m thinking, praying, processing . Thanks for being on the journey with me, even when I don’t have inspiring words to share.
