If you have been reading my blog for long, you know that Dr. Karyn Purvis is one of my heroes. Thank you to Dee Dee who sent me a comment with information about a new website, Empowered to Connect. It was recently created by Dr. Purvis, along with Michael and Amy Monroe to support adoptive families and others involved in adoption, foster care, and orphan ministries.

I haven’t had time to look it over thoroughly, but I did spot my favorite Dr. Purvis videos. If you haven’t watched them yet, they are wonderful and FREE.

Check it out. You can even subscribe to the Empowered to Connect Blog.

I had to share the photos of my girls making parasols out of tumbleweeds. They were parading around the yard looking lovely on our first cool day in ages. The breeze is blowing and the windows are open. It is going to be a good day.

Thanks for passing on another great resource.

Thought I would let you know, we are using bubble gum on all our school days! Melt downs have been cut by about 75% and he seems to be able to think better with his mouth going!!!

    Thanks

Again, Lisa, thank you for your encouragement and for sharing from your heart. The showing option one and two on the hand has become a huge help to me. Thanks again,

    Donna,

I have a friend that used to teach at a school for kids with learning disabilities and she said they gave the kids gum to chew while taking tests. I'm so glad it is helping your son!

Shonni, I love the options with two hands and keep finding it to be useful with my kids. I'm glad you are finding it useful too!
